Let ’em cook

Nobody — N O B O D Y — tailgates quite like LSU. And I was privileged to check out some of the best tailgates on campus.

Usually the football gods reward those who give max tailgate effort, the dawgs who relentlessly pursue perfection with their whole chest, the warriors who leave it all out there underneath the tents; but this day, it was not meant to be, or the folks at LSU would’ve left Tiger Stadium victorious.

The Tailgater of the Week Award goes to Cam’ron, whose exclusive travel package offer enabled this late audible to Baton Rouge, with huge assists from the baws at Outdoor Cats Tailgating and Jovin Webb on the music.

Honorable mentions also go out to Joe Joonyah and his perfectly on-point turtle soup, Troy Francois with the best TV setup on campus, T-Ball and the Schoen Train for working the black pots to bring us incredible jambalaya and white beans, the incomparable Big Daddy Lacy for supplying the much-needed Lacy Specials before kickoff, and Lil’ Hanky Pinky for keeping the disco ball sparklin’.

I love this place.
